Irazú Volcano tour

This tour has 2 options: half day tour and full day tour. It starts at 8:00am, it begins by ascending to the top of the Irazu Volcano for a view of the massive crater.

Along the road towards the volcano there are peasants tilling the fertile lands of this mountain. The area is one of the most fertile soils in Costa Rica.

You will see all kind of vegetable plantations such as; cabbage, carrotts, potatoes, onions, mustards seed, beets etc. As we ascend to the volcano, we pass huge mass of clouds and some of them stay lower than we are and the view is awesome.

From high above the peak of Irazu, on clear days (March and April) the Caribbean and the Pacific Ocean can be seen simultaneously if we get a perfect day without clouds at all.

At the top of the mountain you can walk around the crater and take photos of the moon like scennery around the crater. The temparuture is a little cold for latin american people as the temperature gets from 0 to 15 degrees fahrenheit. Anyway it is a good idea to take your sweater with you.

On the return trip to San Jose, the sanctuary of Costa Rica's Patron Virgin " La Virgen de Los Angeles " will be visited. It is located in the picturesque City of Cartago.
